Bike fitting
Position, comfort and performance - considered together.
Service Description
My bike fitting process combines rider assessment, on-bike observation and iterative adjustment to identify the position that best balances comfort, stability, power production, aerodynamics and the demands of your riding. Rather than fitting to predetermined angles or textbook numbers, the process is individual and outcome-focused. We assess what is limiting the current position, make considered changes, and evaluate how the rider responds. Every fit starts with the rider’s objectives. A time trial specialist targeting a PB may accept a more aggressive position where aerodynamic performance is prioritised, provided it remains sustainable and allows effective power production. A leisure rider looking to ride further without discomfort may require a very different solution, prioritising comfort, stability and confidence. There is no single “correct” bike position — the right fit is the one that best serves the rider, their physiology and what they are trying to achieve. What you receive: A complete assessment of your current position, adjustments during the session, and a record of the final setup and key recommendations. Where appropriate, I’ll also identify equipment changes worth considering — and, just as importantly, those that are unlikely to improve the position.
